I am 35 years old and live in London, UK. Originally from Northern Ireland, I spent a long time living in Italy and love the culture. I married an American in 2008 and I became a mum for the first time at the beginning of July 2009 to a beautiful baby boy named Munchkin (not really, but for the purpose of this blog he is!)
A beautiful baby girl joined us in July 2011 and made our family complete.
Before I had a baby I had a completely different life….duh, I hear you say, all new mums have their lives turned upside down with the arrival of a tiny, squally creature. This is true, of course, but I hadn’t realised how much my life would change.
Before I had a baby I had a very successful career. I took 8 months out and then went back part-time, 4 days a week. One of things I’d like to explore in this blog is how women cope with going from being a career woman to looking after a baby 24/7 and then back again.
I’m now on my 2nd maternity leave and about to enter into the world of being a full time mum again.
When I am not blogging about being a mum I like to talk about fashion, beauty products, life in general. I’m also a very keen photographer!
Thanks for stopping by.

Fantastic blog, now following you. I have a 19 month old son and a new addition due in November. I’m currently wondering if my career will ever be the same again. I guess I’ll have to see how things unravel over the next few years. All the best x
How nice of you to say that! I was just thinking that I need to update that last part of my about me page. I did go back to work after my first and about to go on my second maternity leave. Took me a while but I did get my career mojo back and am looking forward to having a successful career when I go back after this one. I am lucky enough to work for a company which is very supportive. Would love to know how it goes with you. X
Just read this and you and I are very similar, except my boy and girl are slightly older. xx

I know your readers are interested in things to do in London with young children and thought they might enjoy reading some of my posts.
I especially chose one of my latest ones about FUNharmonics.
