Spring has sprung

When I was at primary school we had a substitute teacher who taught us the following poem:

Spring is sprung

Da grass is riz

I wonder where dem boidies iz

Da little boids is on da wing

Ain’t dat absoid

Da little wings is on da boid

To be honest I never really got the poem but always liked the first line and think of it when I see the first evidence of spring arriving.

Today Munchkin and I went for a little walk around our neighbourhood. This is what we came across..

crocuses crocuiThis beautiful mass of crocuses (crocui…????)

Munchkin was quite keen to take a closer look whilst on his mission to pick up as many sticks as he could possibly carry. He’s such a boy!

I’d officially say that spring has sprung, wouldn’t you?
