Christmas Tree is up!

For the last couple of years we have had a fairly small artificial Christmas tree in our flat, mainly because we are never normally here at Christmas. This year, however, we are spending it in our own house and so thought we’d go all out and get a big old real tree.

We took Munchkin along to help pick one out for us.

Picking out the tree

By the way, he is modelling our latest purchase for him. A skull covered cardigan from the Gap. You’d guess correctly that his dad was instrumental in picking that out. Here it is in all it’s glory.

We brought the tree in and decorated it over lunchtime while he was napping. Here is the result of our efforts.

Christmas treeI couldn’t manage to get the whole tree including the star at the top but you get the picture (it’s over 6ft tall!)

Here’s my favourite new decoration which I bought on eBay. It’s a bear because Munchkin loves his toy bear very much.

And here he is learning to pull all the lovely, coloured baubles off the tree.

up to no goodI love having this tree in the house. It makes it feel like Christmas and the whole house smells of lovely pine when you come inside.

How have you been getting ready for Christmas? Having fun?

So my question is….how are you going to keep him from pulling all the ornaments off the lower branches?:O) And the tree is gorgeous.

awww thank you! Yes, it’s an ongoing battle to try to keep him from pulling off the ornaments. He’s got to the stage where he knows he is allowed to bat them a little and that’s the limit!

I love your tree 🙂 Bresho also loves pulling all the ornaments off (he understands he is not supposed to, though). I love A’s sweater. They have it at the Gap here too. Did you see the hat that goes with the sweater? Pretty cool. Also? A’s bedhair is the best!!

I have seen the hat but we are desperately trying to resist buying him the entire contents of the store right now! Totally agree on the bedhair, if only mine looked as good when I get up in the morning 😉
